I can't make the clips play?
You might need a software upgrade, download Adobe Flash then try again. If you're using a web browser other than Internet Explorer or Firefox you'll also have some issues, we recommend downloading and installing one of them. If you still have problems email us!

How can I subscribe?
Use the links in the top right of every page; subscribe to our Metacafe, Metrofunk, Yuwie, Myspace, Facebook or newsfeed.

Where else can I watch Coffee Shorts?
Our archive is hosted on our Metacafe channel, and copies across; The Coffee Shorts Newsfeed, Metrofunk, Myspace, Yuwie, Facebook, Digg, Del.icio.us, Propeller, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Spike/iFilm and Flixya.

Who are Coffee Films and Coffee Arts and Media?
Coffee Films is a film production company which has made a number of successful short films and documentaries, the same team is now running Coffee Shorts as well. Coffee Arts and Media is our British based parent company.

How can I submit?
Read through our submission guidelines here.

You mention making money here somewhere...
Yes; some advertising revenue will be made and shared around. We could bullshit you about getting rich, you probably won't, but this is a great chance to make a little money out of the web video world.

Do you take my copyright?
No! We ask for a non-exclusive right to show your film through our web channels, and that you don't upload your film to Metacafe or Metrofunk; other than that you can do whatever you like, try not to compete with us too much though!

What do you charge me?
We take a commission from the advertising, so we only make money if you do, and only take an agreed percentage of that.

Are you going to want my bank details?
No, we'll make payments by Paypal until a decent service comes along and with any luck wipes them off the face of the planet, if anyone would like to recommend an alternative low cost payments service please do tell us about it.

Can I log in and get stats on my earnings?
No, but you can visit the Metacafe channel anytime to see how many views you're getting. When we pay you we'll send you a breakdown of how the money has been calculated but basically it looks like this;

And Metacafe will tell us if you replay your own clip all day!

How often will I get paid?
We'll calculate earnings every three months and pay shortly afterwards.

All details of our deal are included in the agreement we'll ask you to sign if we like your work, but you can drop us a line with anything else, we'll answer as quickly as we can.

Coffee Shorts will hold around 50 short films at any one time before starting to archive the oldest. All our shorts remain live on Metacafe and we'll regularly be running selections from the archives to ensure even our first filmmakers can reap the benefit of a larger audience further down the line.
